Kelsey and Eric had a perfect summer day for their wedding in Rindge NH at the Woodbound Inn.
We started the day with Kelsey and the bridesmaids in the bridal suite at Woodbound. It is a lovely room with bright windows and beautiful exposed wooden beams — perfect for a bunch of bridesmaids to get ready in. While they were all finishing up with hair and makeup we went down to the lake to get Eric and his groomsmen into their suits.
The groomsmen were all wearing bowties, so that took a bit of trial and error and a very collaborative approach to get all of them tied up and looking snazzy. But in no time at all, they were all suited up and ready for the ceremony.
It was then back to the Woodbound Inn for Kelsey and the bridesmaids to get into their dresses. Once Kelsey was in her dress we did the big reveal to her bridesmaids, dad, and man of honor who was her brother. It was so special :)
Now it was time for the ceremony — and we arrived in style in an antique Rolls Royce car.
They had the ceremony down by the beach of Lake Contoocook overlooking Mt. Monadnock. The perfect mix of mountains and beach. It was a beautiful ceremony with touching vows and a unity ceremony too. After the ceremony, we created some amazing photos in the surrounding areas and got good use of the old Rolls in a bunch of the photos before getting them back to the reception for the evening to being.
After they were introduced Kelsey and Eric went right into their first dance followed by some fun toasts by the man of honor and best man. After dinner we played the shoe game, to see if Kelsey and Eric agree on a number of different questions — it was such a fun time! We had a few more special dances and then the dance floor opened up!
It was such an amazing day and a super fun evening!
Kelsey and Eric’s Wedding Date | 7/21/2018
How did you decide on your ceremony/reception location?
We decided on the Woodbound Inn for our destination because it was the perfect compromise of what we were both looking for. Kelsey wanted to get married near water, preferably on the sand of a beach, and Eric wanted more of a woodsy destination with a view of Mount Monadnock. We also both loved that the Woodbound has everything right there; a place for the ceremony, the reception, and rooms for guests to spend the night.
When did you know they were the one?
Kelsey | I am not sure that I can pinpoint the moment when I knew Eric was “the one”. From our first date, I knew there was something special about him. I was talking to my mom after our first date and I said to her, “I will be genuinely disappointed if there isn’t a second date”. Eric is just so special; he “gets” me and I feel truly lucky to be his wife.
Eric | From the first time Kelsey and I talked on the phone, I knew there was a connection. Every date after that first phone call just reaffirmed my initial thoughts about her.
What’s the one thing you love most about each other?
Kelsey | The one thing that I love most about Eric is his ability to always make me smile. He is the most thoughtful, caring, and selfless husband.
Eric | The one thing that I love most about Kelsey is her caring heart.
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you were looking forward to on your wedding day?
Besides getting married, we are most excited about our closest friends and family all being in one location. We are excited to share this special day with them!
What are your honeymoon plans?
For our honeymoon, we are headed to Camden, Maine where we will be staying at The Inn at Sunset Point.
I hope that you have enjoyed Kelsey and Eric’s story and their wedding photos! They were a blast to work with for their wedding and their engagement session. If you haven’t seen that then definitely take a look!
