Colleen and Kevin had an amazing fall day for their wedding at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH.
We started the day with the girls at the salon for their hair and makeup. After all the girls were looking beautiful, I was on my way to Kevin and his groomsmen at a beautiful condo right down the road from the resort. While the guys were just starting to get ready I was able to create some detail shots with their wedding rings around the property.
Once I finished with the ring shots it was time to help the guys get into their tuxes. There was a lot of instructions about how to wear suspenders, how many buttons do you do on a vest and a jacket and how to tie a tie. But before we knew it all of the guys were dressed in their tuxes and looking dapper. We did a few more group photos and a toast outside before it was time for me to head to the resort for Colleen to get into her dress.
Colleen’s dress was gorgeous. It had some beautiful lace details and the perfect length train. From where the bridesmaids were getting ready we could overlook the ceremony location and Mount Washington in the distance. It was an idyllic location. After we got Colleen into her dress we took a few group shots of the girls in the suite while we were excitedly waiting for the ceremony to begin!
Their ceremony location was on the Omni Mount Washington’s second-floor deck with the mountain ranges in the background. The trees were exploding in their fall colors and the sky was dappled with fluffy clouds contrasting with the deep blue sky — absolutely breathtaking.
They shared a lovely ceremony sealed with a kiss upon the spectacular panoramic views.
After the ceremony, we explored the resort’s grounds finding some marvelous locations to create epic images. Every way we turned were new and astonishing views to take in and captures moments of the two newlyweds. After we had created countless images it was time to head back inside for the tail end of their cocktail hour and the start of the reception.
With a reception filled with fun toasts, good food and dancing it was the perfect cap to the most perfect day!

How did you decide on your ceremony/reception location?
We travel up there every winter for a weekend ski trip at Bretton Woods and always venture over to the hotel. We fell in love with all of its history and beauty.
When did you know he/she was the one?
There wasn’t really a defining moment for either of us but we knew we were meant to be together when we couldn’t picture either of our lives without one another.
What’s the one thing you love most about each other?
Kevin | Her laugh.
Colleen | They way his mind works and the way he thinks about things I would have never thought of.
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you were looking forward to on your wedding day?
Taking pictures with the mountains as a backdrop, the food and getting to spend time with family and friends.
What are your honeymoon plans?
We are going to Maine. We are stopping in Portland for a few nights and then heading up to Acadia. On our way home we will stop at Wells for a few more nights.
