We had a nice afternoon with the sun peeking out between some dramatic clouds. We started the session at a property in Walpole, NH with an enormous field and amazing view. That is the same spot where they are getting married next June. There was a small pond that created a beautiful reflection, and backlit cattails that made an interesting background. Then we headed to Lake Warren in Alstead where there were some gigantic boulders and the setting sun to round out a wonderful engagement session. The late autumn light is truly a distinct quality of light and makes for some great imagery.
We are all super excited for their upcoming wedding next June, in Walpole, NH. Now let’s get into the photos and how their love story came to be!

How long have you been together?
Jonny and I have been together for 2 and a half years.
Tell us how you first met.
We met at a bar in Keene, and just stayed talking to each other all night, it felt like we knew each other our whole lives. The radio station was giving away a trip to met to Mexico, Jonny said to me, “If I win I’ll take you.” The end of the night came and Jonny won the trip… He felt he needed to get to know me better before we went on vacation together, so we made plans for our first date a few days later.
When did you get engaged?
We got engaged on August 14, 2015.
Tell us about the proposal.
Jonny had planned for us to go away for the weekend. And just as we were getting ready to leave he got down on one knee in our front yard and asked me to marry him.
