Location | Chesterfield, NH
Now that Jen & Jared are married and her dress was revealed, I can finally share some of my favorite images from Jen’s bridal session!
It was a perfect fall afternoon for her session at a private home in Chesterfield, New Hampshire. At the location, there were some lovely rock walls, trees bursting with color and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills.
Usually, on wedding days I like to create a bridal portrait, but with the hectic timelines of weddings, we rarely have enough time to create images that have a lot of set up and lighting equipment. That is why I love bridal sessions. Bridal sessions are all about showcasing the wedding dress and creating some awe-inspiring images — and I think for Jen’s session we did just that! We started the session off in the woods by a big rock wall. The late afternoon light was filtering through the leaves creating a beautiful glowing background. After several different set ups in the woods, we went out to the field to capture the landscape. While I was waiting for the sun to set, I created a mock studio environment to create both high key and low key portraits. Just as we finished with that the sunset created an absolutely breathtaking sight. We kept shooting until it was getting really dark because the dusk light was just so spectacular! I didn’t want to stop :)
I hope you enjoy Jen’s bridal session!
Who is your dress designer and what was the dress salon that you got it at?
My dress designer is Ella Rosa. I bought the dress at 125 Bridal in Plaistow NH
Why did you say yes to this dress?
I had gone dress shopping with my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids and had found two dresses that I was trying to decide between. They were two very different dresses so I decided to go to another dress salon with other designers to help make my decision. I had a consultant that listened to every comment I was making about the dresses I was trying on and pulled the dress that encompassed it all. As soon as I put it on and looked in the mirror I knew it was the dress. The dress had actually come into the salon that day, it was fate!
What are you planning to do with the dress after the wedding? Will you be passing it down to future generations?
For right now I’m planning on having it placed in a shadow box. Dresses change so much from generation to generation I’m not sure my dress would be “in” by the time other generations in my family would be getting married!
