Location | Stonewall Farm, Keene, NH
I photographed Kristen & Jason at a familiar spot — Stonewall Farm, in Keene, NH. While I have photographed countless weddings at Stonewall Farm, this was my first time shooting an engagement session there. I knew that Stonewall had numerous beautiful locations for photos, and without the pressure and time restraints of a typical wedding day we were able to explore all of my favorite places.
We started the session off at the long footbridge that leads into the riding/ hiking trails in the woods around Stonewall Farm. I love using that bridge for First Looks, and it makes an equally great spot for engagement sessions too! One very special thing about the two of them is that they have matching crown tattoos on their forearms. I made sure to capture that while also showing off Kristen’s beautiful engagement ring.
Stonewall farm has a very large domed greenhouse that I have been envisioning to use as a backdrop to a portrait for some time now — Kristen & Jason gave me the perfect opportunity to incorporate that architectural element. We then headed back to the main building for them to change into their second outfit. I recommend to my couples to bring two outfits, one casual, and one a bit dressier to get more variety in the images from their engagement session. For the second half of the session the sun was starting to get lower in the sky creating a beautiful golden glow — we photographers, call this magical time the “Golden Hour”. During that time we were able to create countless more beautiful compositions. Kristen and Jason were such naturals in front of the camera — the entire session was fun and easy.
We are very excited for their Mount Snow wedding this July!
I hope you enjoy Kristen and Jason’s Engagement session!

We got engaged on christmas eve of 2015 from a scavenger hunt that Jason made, and the end was a package of christmas ornaments that he had painted on “Will you marry me”. The wedding is planned for July 7th, 2017 at Mount Snow Resort in Dover, VT.
