What is a destination wedding?

Any wedding that we have to travel 100+ miles is considered a destination wedding. Whether that be a road trip to Martha’s Vineyard or a plane ride around the world to Bali, no matter the distance we can capture your memories in any destination or adventure that you can dream up!

Wouldn’t it be easier to hire a wedding photographer who is already located at the locations of my wedding?

Not necessarily… Generally hiring a photographer who’s from your destination wedding’s location is more expensive and also riskier in terms of receiving your images. Past clients have decided against hiring foreign photographers for a couple of reasons. It’s harder to coordinate with them about the details of your wedding day because of language barriers, time zones and all that. Also if you have any questions about your images, rather than having to deal with a prolonged and inconvenient correspondence over hundreds or 1000’s of miles, you could simply just come right to us for help.

What are Destination Wedding Photography Fees and Prices?

Our destination wedding photography packages are the same as our regular wedding photography packages. The only additional costs are for travel.

- Airfare (can be discounted if we are already planning on being at your destination)
- Baggage fees
- Hotel accommodations (typically 2 nights but dependent on the length of the event)
- Rental car (typically 3 days, depending on the length of the event)
- Vendor meals for the day of the event(s)
- Per Diem: $45/day per photographer for meals on travel days and days not on the events

How many people do we need to fly out?

It really depends on your package, timeline, guest count, and program. We have packages that have one photographer, all the way to packages that include both a photo and video team of up to 4 people. In addition, we like to depart for the destination a day in advance. The reason for this is that we would like to have plenty of time to scout out your wedding venue as well as ensure that we will be on time to the location on the day of your wedding. As for the departing flight, we typically have the tickets booked for the day after your last event, preferably at a later time.
