For Amy & Jason’s wedding day it was a cold rainy morning, but as the afternoon came the skies dried up and the rain held off for the rest of the night. We started off the day in the inn at the Grand View Inn getting ready. It is such a beautiful venue with unique rooms and decor throughout the Inn. There is one room, aptly named the “Green Room,” that once Jason was done getting into his suit I had him meet me there to create his groom portrait. When Amy was all set with hair and make and into her dress it was off to the ceremony.
They had a touching and beautiful ceremony in the Grand View Inn’s great room. The ceremony was planned to be outside with the amazing view of Mount Monadnock, but since it was chilly and the ground was wet they moved the ceremony inside. Amy and Jason’s wedding ceremony included readings, stories, laughs, tears, and their dog as the assistant ring bearer.
After the ceremony, we captured their family portraits, bridal party photos in the Green room, and Amy and Jason’s creative portraits. With so many interesting rooms at the Grand View Inn, we could have kept creating more images for hours, but I made sure to get them to their reception for the bridal party’s introduction and Amy and Jason’s grand entrance.
All in all, they had such a great wedding and it was the perfect way to cap off the 2016 season. Now I’m looking forward to the 2017 wedding season to be starting up soon!
Each of the weddings I have captured at The Grand View Inn & Resort are beautiful and unique. I would love to capture your special day too! Amy and Jason’s Wedding Date | 10/29/2016
How did you decide on your ceremony/reception location?
The Grand View Estate has been my first choice even before Jason popped the question. The two of us love New England especially in the fall and with the beautiful view of Mt. Monadnock it was the ideal location for us!
When did you know he/she was the one?
Amy | Well, I think I knew well before Jason did ( he’s a bit slow)! He would always joke and tell people that the only reason I wanted to marry him was for good health insurance… Though that would have been a bonus I can assure you that was not the only reason. Jason has encouraged me to do things I would never have thought I could accomplish, he has shown me that with hard work I can achieve my dreams, he truly believes in me and I know that when he looks into my eyes he loves me. He is my very best friend and I have loved him for so long. I am so blessed to be is wife… Finally!
Jason | Amy and I have grown together over the last 12 years, sharing life’s ups and downs. She has always balanced me out. I am her chocolate and she is my coffee.
What’s the one thing you love most about each other?
Amy | For me Jason is patient, he’s never in a rush and always keeps calm, this is crucial because I am just the opposite and as they say… opposites attract.
Jason | Amy has incredible talent, no matter what she tries. I am amazed to watch her look at something and say “I could do that” and she does! Her creative talent and the way she sees things has always blown me away.
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you were looking forward to on your wedding day?
Amy | Making memories with friends and family… having stories to tell our future children… PHOTOS!!!
Jason | Seeing all of the planning and hard work come together, rewarded by the smiles and laughs of our family and guests.
What are your honeymoon plans?
Amy | Jason and I will have to recoup a bit but we hope to do a little traveling in the near future… Not to sure of where yet.
Jason | Still trying to figure out the honeymoon, between work and school schedules! I think we will have to flip a coin to see who wins, a relaxing tropical beach honeymoon or the historical guided tour trip!
I hope that you have enjoyed Amy and Jason’s story and their wedding photos!
