Location | Cliff Walk, York Maine
It was a hot summer’s day for Megan & Jordan’s engagement session along the Maine seacoast.
We kicked off the session at the Cliff Walk in York, Maine — such a beautiful spot. It is a lovely trail that takes you along the rocky Maine coastline. Megan has been vacationing in Maine all her life, but this was the first time both of them had been to the Cliff Walk, so I was happy to share this breathtaking view with them.
The Cliff Walk gets its name from all of the steep rock faces that descend into the ocean. It was one of those cliffs that I positioned them out on the edge of overlooking the water for some epic images. You might remember that cliff from my Lighting the Impossible sunrise shoot I did there a few weeks ago. While I didn’t use a drone-mounted flash for their engagement photos we still created some awe-inspiring images.
After scrambling over the rocks and creating photos along the way we headed over to Long Sands Beach to finish their session. Long Sands Beach is aptly named because the beach just goes on forever! We walked the beach for a bit, getting our toes in the sand and feet in the water to cool off a bit. From Long Sands, you can also see the Nubble Lighthouse in the distance — a truly spectacular lighthouse.
It was just the most perfect afternoon for a seaside engagement session :)
We are very excited for their wedding next year in Connecticut!
I hope you enjoy Megan and Jordan’s Engagement session!
How long have you been together?
One year.
Tell us how you first met.
We were at a pub in downtown Keene NH, Meg came over to talk to a mutual friend and I turned around and asked to buy her a drink. We went on our first date a week later at The Farm Table and it was happily ever after since!
When did you get engaged?
Tell us about the proposal.
We were on a rooftop bar overlooking all of Fort Lauderdale. Around midnight, Jordan asked if we could take a picture before we left. He asked someone to take a picture of us and while that happened Jordan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! And I said yes!
