Kat & Trev are very special to me. I have been with them and photographing their story since Trevor proposed to Katharine last winter at the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH. And it all cumulated on their wedding day at the Belknap Mill on a fall day in October. The Belknap Mill in Laconia, NH is a beautiful historic mill building with a lovely rustic brick aesthetic.
Their whole wedding was happening at the Belknap Mill, with Kat getting ready in one of the rooms on the first floor, and Trev getting ready on the 3rd floor where their reception was going to be held that evening. Trevor was actually busy most of the morning helping set up the reception hall with all their decorations and decor. While they were both getting ready I would pop between the two of them creating photos of the whole process.
Once they were ready, Trev in his dashing royal blue suit and burgundy tie, and Kat in her soft flowing gown, it was time for their first look.
I positioned Trevor under this beautiful tree exploding in golden fall colored leaves. They shared a touching and emotional moment as they both got to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. After that, we explored the venue for their creative portraits before taking photos of their whole wedding party.
Now it was time for their ceremony. It was held at the Rotary Park which is right behind the Belknap Mill. Kat and Trev stood under a gazebo with all their friends and family surrounding them. They both stated their vows to each other solidifying their marriage, exchanged rings and sealed it all with a kiss. It was such a touching and heartfelt ceremony.
After the ceremony, we created their family portraits before going back into the venue to their cocktail hour and reception. After a few toasts, it was time for dinner — PIZZA! Yep, Kat and Trev had a pizza buffet with more pizza than I have ever seen in one place before. Such a fun and tasty wedding meal.
Once dinner was completed and everyone full and happy the dance floor was opened up and the party was on!
It was an awesome day for an awesome couple :)

How did you decide on your ceremony/reception location?
We looked into a few different venues but fell in love with the Belknap Mill as soon as we visited. We loved how historic the building was, and it had a rustic and industrial feel which appealed to both of us. The park outside seemed like the perfect place for our ceremony as well! It also fit into our budget perfectly which was a big bonus as well!
When did you know he/she was the one?
What’s the one thing you love most about each other?
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you were looking forward to on your wedding day?
Pizza! And partying with our family and friends. We’re so excited to get our family all together for a happy day.
What are your honeymoon plans?
New York City for a week! We plan on seeing lots of Broadway shows, eating good food, and exploring the city!
I hope that you have enjoyed Kat and Trev’s story and their wedding photos! They were a blast to work with for their wedding and their engagement session. If you haven’t seen that then definitely take a look!
