Lindsay and Jacob had a beautiful March day for their wedding. The sun was shining and it was a “warm” March day.
We started the day with the ladies at the Wingate Salon & Spa in Stratham, NH for all their hair and makeup. Lindsay had every detail from head to toe covered, with monogrammed shirts for all of the VIPs, to the custom bride and bridesmaid socks. Once all of their hair and makeup was completed it was time to get dressed. Lindsay looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown with a long flowing lace veil.
Now it was time to head to the ceremony venue in Portsmouth, NH at the Connect Community Church to meet up with the guys. With a flurry of activity, all of the guys started getting their suits on. They needed a bit of help figuring out their cufflinks, tuxedo buttons, and boutineers on — luckily I have a lot of wedding experience and know all the tricks to help them get ready.
With the guys all dressed up, and the girls arriving in the limo, it was now time for the ceremony. They had a lovely ceremony including the lighting of a unity candle set to some fun music. Then they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss.
After the ceremony, we did all of their family portraits at the church before packing up and heading down to Andover, MA for the reception at the Andover Country Club.
Being that it was an early March wedding with a ceremony later in the day by the time we got to the reception location it was already dark. But we didn’t let that stop us. I set up some flashes to capture their creative portraits, lighting them up in the dark.
Just as cocktail hour was finishing up we wrapped up our creative portrait session and it was time for the reception to begin! Lindsay and Jacob entered the reception with some awesome dancing before taking their seats after their first dance. They had some heartfelt and entertaining toasts and speeches while dinner was being served. After the cake cut the dance floor was opened up and the party was on!
It was such a wonderful day and an amazing wedding. Congratulations to Lindsay and Jacob :)
Lindsay & Jacob’s Wedding Date | 3/9/2019
How did you decide on your ceremony/reception location?
Jacob and I searched a number of venues before we finally came across the Andover Country Club. As soon as we saw the Trumpeters Room, it left us both speechless, and when we looked at each other, we just knew this was the spot. The room is absolutely stunning with chandeliers that gleam, floor-length beaded curtains, and a cozy fireplace to warmly welcome our guests.
When did you know he/she was the one?
Lindsay | From day one Jacob did nothing short of showing me he loved me. We met during the spring semester of senior year of high school, and from that day until graduation, we spent every free minute with one another. Jacob would go out of his way to come and visit me in college before we started dating. He would bring me flowers, take me out to dinner, and even spoil me with ice cream as we walked through Swasey Park, in Stratham, New Hampshire, on the weekends. I truly fell in love with Jacob in 2011. However, I promised him and myself that I would finish my college education before we considered marriage. After 7 years of rigorous pharmaceutical classes, Jacob asked me to marry him just after graduation, and boy, I had no idea I could love him more than I already did. I am beyond excited about this life we will share together.
Jacob | I knew Lindsay was the one pretty early on, She will tell you I was ready to marry her shortly after meeting her. After talking for a few days and hanging out a few times it was easy to tell we were both looking for the same thing in a relationship and neither of us was willing to settle for anything less. From early on she showed me nothing but commitment and respect to the fullest extent, and those qualities stood out and reinforced the thought that this is the girl I want to marry.
What’s the one thing you love most about each other?
Lindsay | What I love most about Jacob is that he strives to make me laugh at least once a day, typically in the morning, and he makes it known that hearing my laugh is satisfying to him. I really love that I can be myself around Jacob and that he “loves me for me” (we say this to each other all the time). We realize that we are imperfect individuals, but together we make a very special duo.
Jacob |Something about Lindsay that really stuck out and pulled me in, besides that she is absolutely gorgeous, is the amount of self-confidence she had in herself did not compare to any other person I had ever met, and I loved that about her. I feel it is important to know your own worth before you can really care for someone else, and Lindsay does know her own worth. Her drive and determination to finish the schooling she had started to become a pharmacist says a lot about her. She is not easily discouraged and does not settle for less than she deserves. She will do anything for anybody and expects the same in return, which I think is very important. She won’t let anyone walk all over her. I love all of these things about Lindsay.
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
Lindsay | Strangely enough, my favorite part of planning this wedding was our cake tasting experience at Frederick’s Pastries. Although I follow a strict gluten and dairy free diet, I am most excited (other than becoming one with Jacob) to indulge in a piece of cake to celebrate our big day!
Jacob | I am looking forward to seeing our families and friends come together to celebrate our special day. But most of all I am looking forward to being able to call Lindsay my wife!
What are your honeymoon plans?
Our honeymoon will take place in Maui, Hawaii! Although we have never been to Hawaii, we hands-down decided on an island-style honeymoon. We plan on lots of sightseeing and celebrating. Aloha!
I hope that you have enjoyed Lindsay and Jacob’s story and their wedding photos! They were a blast to work with for their wedding and their engagement session. If you haven’t seen that then definitely take a look!
