Erin and Josh had a wonderful spring day for their wedding — absolutely perfect weather! Both the groomsmen and bridesmaids were all getting ready at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in downtown Keene which made it super easy for me to pop between the two rooms while everyone was getting ready. It was there that Erin did a first look with her dad which was such a special moment. Josh had a very interesting wedding ring, one that you may be able to recognize — you could say it was one ring to rule them all. Then we were off to Stonewall Farm for their ceremony — in a limo of course. We did a “no look first look” which is a great option for couples if they want to have a private moment together, but they still want to keep it traditional and not see each other until they are walking down the aisle. They had a lovely rustic wedding ceremony in the carriage barn at Stonewall — which they decorated so well with twinkle lights, draping fabrics, hay bales, and flowers. Once the reception began the party was on! There was great food, dancing and wonderful memories made — along with some of the best cupcakes ever!
All of the weddings I have captured at Stonewall Farm are beautiful and unique. I would love to capture your special day too! Erin and Josh’s Wedding Date | 4/30/2016
How did you decide on your ceremony/reception location?
We both make it a priority to support local businesses. Josh frequently rides his mountain bike through the trails at Stonewall Farm and the first time he brought me to the farm, I fell in love with it and literally said, “wow, this would be beautiful for a wedding.” So, when we started our venue search, we kept finding ourselves coming back to Stonewall Farm.
When did you know he/she was the one?
We took our relationship very slow and talked for a bit before actually meeting one another. But I knew Josh was the one for me the very first moment I laid eyes on him. And Josh knew I was the one for him when I agreed to sit on my living room carpet and learn how to play the card game Magic with him.
What’s the one thing you love most about each other?
The one thing we love most about each other is that we are truly best friends. Doing simple things such as grocery shopping is fun when we are together. We can truly be ourselves with one another and we bring out the best in each other.
Besides getting married, what’s the one thing you were looking forward to on your wedding day?
I was really looking forward to spending the day with my mom, sisters and best friend. I wanted to cherish every moment with them. I was also looking forward to the very first time my Dad saw me in my wedding dress.
Josh was looking forward to seeing all the personal touches to our ceremony and wedding such as our unique song selections.
What are your honeymoon plans?
We went to Niagara Falls Canada for our honeymoon. It was incredibly romantic to take the boat ride through the falls and explore the hidden caves and lookouts behind the falls.
I hope that you have enjoyed Erin and Josh’s story and their wedding photos! They were a blast to work with for their wedding and their engagement session. If you haven’t seen that then definitely take a look!
